As Software Development Staff Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development activities associated with software using a range of applicable technologies (e.g., programming languages, compilers, assemblers, debuggers, other tools) for products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs. Analyzes requirements and develops innovative, useful software. Modifies existing software products to add new functions, adapt to new hardware, improve performance or enhance product usability. Participates in product development in all stages from planning and design to development and testing. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. Assists training with production of formal training material for sales/marketing.
               
Team Overview
• The team "Jigsaw Driver CABs" is responsible for building and delivering Driver CABs for Biz. Client line of business (eg. Laptops, Workstations, Desktops etc.)
• The team also develops and maintains Jigsaw tools (web-based and console) that enables us to build and deliver the Driver CAB.
• The team works with various providers of drivers (internal and external to Dell) to bundle the drivers into a package (driver pack).
• The driver packs are tested on various MSFT environments for Windows OS deployment.

Role Responsibilities
• Working with Marketing and Technologists for driving concepts to build product features and to translate business requirements to engineering specifications (behavior and design aspects)
• Building and testing driver packs for various platforms.
• Coordinating driver content delivery with various platform and device driver teams.
• Develop and maintain Jigsaw tools that enables users to build driver packs for Dell client platforms using these tools.

Requirements
• 7+ years of industry experience work on software design and development effort
• Strong Windows OS knowledge, trouble shooting and debugging skills.
• Good understanding of Windows PnP Device Drivers
• Good hands on experience in any programming language (C/C++/C#)
• Ability to communicate design rationale and build consensus
• Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to develop new approaches to complex design problems
• Must be organized, have an eye for detail, and be able to put ideas into a tangible form

Preferences
• Qualification : B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.S / M.Tech
• Strong Windows OS knowledge and trouble-shooting Windows driver installation issues
• Good hands on experience in any programming language (C/C++/C#)
