The Business Entity
The Service Provider Video Software Solutions (SPVSS) is transforming the future of Video Viewing experience through advanced software development. Our software products and technology are behind more than 300 million Set Top Boxes deployed worldwide. SPVSS develops software for STB client which includes Cisco Videoscape Multiscreen and Cloud DVR, Video Everywhere, High End EPGs and other STB applications. Using Agile methodology, SPVSS is building a customer-centric culture with self-contained and motivated teams that have clear visibility to our customers.
The Team
You will part of the team working for one of the Tier 1 European DTH service provider. We are the early adopters of trend-setting technical solutions. Ours is a high performing Agile team, with diverse skill set and expertise areas that complement each other.
Role & Responsibilities
You will be core member of team that designs and implements STB EPG software
Will be responsible for software development on Java for latest UI as required by customer.
Collaborate with other leads, product managers and architects to understand the end customer use of the software
Collaborate and work with diverse team that is geographically spread
Analyze and implement new UI requirements from customer.
Qualification
Bachelors/Masters Degree in Engineering with 0-2 years of industry experience
Excellent programming skills in Java or other OO languages such as C++
Fairly good understanding Linux/Unix OS and commands
Familiarity with end-end Software development lifecycle
Desired skills
STB domain Knowledge is preferred not Must.
Agile software development methodology and agility to adapt to changing needs
Knowledge of UI
